We help SMEs to produce relevant, cost effective plans which give them the tools to quickly and efficiently get back to "business as usual" post a crisis.
Worth Protecting was formed in 2008 in response to an increasing demand for cost effective Business Continuity Management, providing SME owners and charities with support and guidance in plan preparation.
Paul Butterworth and Jeff Allen have held senior positions in businesses handling very fast moving products where his responsibilities included Supply Chain, Business Development and Central Services. Business Continuity Plans were an essential requirement to both customers and other stakeholders, and they held responsibility for their formulation and testing. Both knows from experience, having had to enact a plan, how important a BCP is in reducing the impact of a crisis on the business.
Subsequent to their corporate careers, Paul and Jeff have worked with a number of SMEs and found almost without exception that they were underprepared for an unplanned event. Everyone knew they should prepare, but just hadn’t got round to it.
In digging further they found that they had all thought about and looked into business continuity but couldn’t find a solution that was both cost effective and relevant to their size of business.
They, therefore, set about developing a Business Continuity Management service which is both cost effective and one that business owners and charities can see will work for them.
Paul is a member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics, an Associate of the Business continuity Institute and a Director/Trustee of Banbury Citizens Advice Bureau
Jeff has worked on developing detailed disaster recovery plans for large organisations which needed to encompass complex IT systems and people issues. He has also led the discipline of regular testing of these plans. Jeff was the recipient of a prize-winning MBA from Henley Management College in 2006 and is particularly interested in the interaction between the behaviour and commitment of people and the success of the information systems they use.
